Joining any new club can be pretty daunting for anyone, let alone a child!
We welcome people along on Monday nights at 7.00pm to the Melville Aquatic
Fitness Centre to have
a look (and try of course).
This is absolutely free, and there is no pressure to continue.
We
welcome new members of all abilities and backgrounds, from beginners to competing athletes.
The club offers
the opportunity to make new friends, learn new skills and get some really great low impact exercise.
You only need bathers, goggles and a drink in a plastic
drink bottle –
water is best.
See
the About Us
page to read the Club's Mission Statement and Values.

| Do I have to be a good swimmer? |
| |
| NO! Ability, in general, does not matter because
our club has such a wide range of events to accommodate any type of swimmer.
Through
the MAFC squad coaching the Melville Swimming Club offers a comprehensive
programme, which given personal commitment
and effort, will enable each member to reach his or her own maximum potential in a fun and safe environment.

| |
| How much does it cost? |
| |
| We understand that you will want to come and look and try before
deciding if joining Melville
Swimming Club is for you, so you do not have to pay during your trial period.
Once you've decided to join your membership can either be annual, Winter or Summer, depending on
the season. See fees.
The registration fee for Swimming WA is included in the membership fee. This enables swimming in
Pennant and other Swimming WA endorsed meets. The fee also covers the costs of Insurance Premiums.

| Is It All Swimming? |
|

|
Yes mainly as the core function of the club is to
provide a wide range of swimming activities and facilities to develop all
our swimmers. However, we do believe in
developing all leisure aspects of club life,
and therefore have a very active and healthy social side to the club.
Some are swim orientated like the
Monday Club Night. Other Activities have
included family discos, presentation evenings and festive functions.
There is also the popular Moore River Camp, which is
enjoyed by both children and adults. |
